MY NAME IS (Insert) AND I HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS .....

A classic case of double-standards is arising under Goff's stewardship and his reaction to the Harawora stoush.

Who elses recently got away with taking his partner on an expensive foreign jaunt, courtesy of the taxpayer? Why Chris Carter, of course.

Well three down two to go. I wonder if we will be hearing an apology from Phil Goff from Chris Carter next. Somehow I doubt it. Because we never expect Labour politicians to have to 'apologise'. Just 'move on'. I mean it never entered anyone's head to demand Carter's apology did it?

I have to observe that when criticised, Carter, Harawira and Hide initially came out punching which indicates their sense of entitlement and feelings of seccurity in their seats and electorates. But all apart from Carter subsequently recanted, or apologised.

In fact, Chris Carter was as craven as Harawira and 'I'm no martyr' Hide. When challenged by the media, Carter deflected criticism away from taking his partner on a jaunt by suggesting criticism was motivated by homophobia 'because he is gay'.

OK Carter was restrained enough not to call anyone a 'straight mother***er', but in essence, his attitude was very similar to Harawira's, and Hide's.
Ie I AM ENTITLED BECAUSE I'M A SPECIAL CASE - YES, I HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS.

I think Mr Goff refers to that kind of thing as 'an internal party matter'. It seems to me that everythig our politicians do are 'internal party matters' unless we, the public make a stink. I think Mr Carter should congratulate himself. Who knows, if Chris Carter wasn't 'gay', he might have been pilloried in the media just the same as those other dudes. But of course Carter's ruse worked a charm, and everyone backed off. No one likes to be called a homophobe, or even risk being called one. (Ahem - apart from me - eye thenkyu).

So it's an ill wind that blows no good. Eh Chris?

Next to go is Mallard who is bludging off the taxpayer to visit some mates in London - well he says he has mates.

As I am banned at Red Alert I cannot ask which of his harem we are paying for him to take.

I wish Mallard would ban that annoying 'Spud' character from Red Alert, all he/she ever does is comment on every post, praise Labour no matter what. I supposed Red Alert gives Trevor Mallard some power, now that he is out of power! All he can do is get nasty to the posters, as well as the govt!

Just a bloke who is interested in calling it as I see it. I am not a member of a political party, but am a keen observer of the process. People assume I am 'right wing' because I criticise their politics, but I would argue that to uncritically defend any political party is a 'right-wing' activity, and tht the further you go to defend a political party regardless of its actions, good or bad, the further to the right you go, because you are only interested in defending a status-quo not in holding our representatives to account.
